is GOSHEN (bryan tolentino, don aquino, at dimani aurora, etc) a reform / offshoot group?

[this entry has been updated]
:) (smile)

other clarifications:
- they do not teach against organized adventist formal education (although egw emphasizes homeschooling as best when no church school is available)
- ma'am Orbe's reason for homeschooling her children is health reasons. to avoid junk food, too much sugar, etc... which was causing them asthma etc...
- Garde family's reason is experimenting on homeschool to try to develop better curriculum emphasizing more on Christian Education and less on secular things.
- they do not teach people to leave the SDA church.  "we are reformers but not offshoots".
- the diet they practice in the training is a "disease management diet" which they have to learn how to prepare, how it tastes, how it affects their body or the body of the patient

i was there, to eat nice food, to learn things pastor bryan has been reading, to help my friends in their ministry, to help keep them from error, and to help others learn those nice things.

the videos of the lectures are in http://www.aup.edu.ph/aolis/Software/religious2/goshen-2009Dec-dimani-320x240/ (about 130 hours of lectures)

the curriculum is in http://www.aup.edu.ph/aolis/wingp/go/

about ron wyatt and the ark of the covenant, i'm the one who started all of it here in aup, but now i think we have to research more about it or just wait for it to prove itself.  if it is false, then it is our great disappointment somewhat like in 1844.  but that means we have to continue searching out more truths...

what is my position on diet?

i'm have been experimenting on vegetarianism since 2004(?).
i have experimented being a fruitarian for a week or so.
i have experimented no-salt, no-oil, no-additives, no-sugar for two weeks at GOSHEN (dec 21, 2009-jan 3, 2010).
i experimented eating lots of chocolates and sweet things after GOSHEN.
looks like the lectures are mostly right, sugar brings you down.
i miss goshen food, still trying to learn how to live on it, where and when to get fresh fruits, nuts, and vegetables.

Ministry of Healing chapter 25 is a good balancing guide both for the indulgent and the extreme.  has lots of good ideas to help in experimenting to learn what's good for yourself.
